Raphael... funny and almost as sarcastic as me.
Raphael was a bit of a t**t China. Basically the office clown with a couple of forks to fight with.

Donatello was the man. Basically runs the turtles with his inventions whilst Leonardo swans around taking all of the credit. Also kicks a*s with a cool staff, whilst remaining trendy and metrosexual in his purple eye mask.
Nick I have to disagree. Raphael brought some much needed humor and attitude to the turtles. Michael-Angelo also added some much needed partying. Donatello was basically a geeky, computer nerd and Leonardo was the all conquering hero (yawn). If the purple and blue ones had their way then it would be all battles with Shreddar and inventions and absolutely no bonding material for the generation X that was watching them... long live the goof-off's!
Michael Angelo - used to love how he spoke and we shared the same love for pizzas !
Michealangelo didn't have the discipline to be a TMNT. I'm sure that everyone would have been absolutely delighted to live in a Krang ruled dicatorship because Michealangelo was too hung over to bother turning up for battle. Donatello knew the score. Get the job done and then possibly have a couple of celebration beers, but do it in moderation in case Shredder launch another dastardly scheme.
Nick... do behave yourself, Donatello wasn't even that great a nija now, he much preferred tinkering away with his toys, Michael-Angela may have had a slightly lazy attitude to his work but that's why they were a team... they made sure he got out of his bed. Michael-Angelo and Raphael were undoubtly the better fighters, always thinking on their feet and using their iniative and without all the preachiness of Leonardo.

I'm sure if you asked Splinter he'd have preferred the antics of the red and orange than the annoying knowitallness of the purple one. :0P

(Can't believe we're getting in to a debate about TMNT)

Definitely Amy (Crossroads 1965 - 75).
Her accent made me laugh.
China, China, China. Come on now my love. Splinter was a bit of a disciplinarian, and was constantly getting annoyed with Michaelangelo's lackadaisical attitude to his ninja development. The last thing that you need is a maverick ninja They have to be controlled and able to work as a team without stopping for a bite to eat in Pizza Express, on the way to battle. ;-)

Donatello was not so much a geek, as just plain intelligent which I'm sure made him a hit with the ladies as well. April O'Neill always had a bit of a soft spot for him.

i liked the purple one!!! was it donatello?? just thought he was really cool!! xXx
Oh dear Nick, you really are missing it here aren't you... Everyone knows that the livewire/maverick/anti-hero is always the favourite which is why the master always gets more annoyed with them obviously... it's about expectation. The fact that Michael-Angela could kill the baddies & scoff pizza at the same time is an example of how talented he was. The goofy remarks by Raphael while taking out the baddies shows his passion and commitment the cause as well as his quick and agile mind!

I'm sure April did have a soft spot for Donatelle but lets not forget that April was a fan of a yellow all in one suit so I suspect her taste is questionable to say the least!
Oh dear China. You seem to have been blinded by the mirage of cool 'maverickness' that Raph and Mich display. Let me guess , you go for the arrogant bad boy types, who are ultimately bad for you? ;-)
Michaelangela and Rafail should have been kicked out from the start, and they should have just let D and L deal with the unfortunate Krang/Shredder situation. Probably would have been sorted out in 2 episodes. Donatello is probably still active and teaching other generations of ninjas new tricks, whereas M and R are big fat Elvis Pressley bloaters.
LFAO @ Nick.

Dearest Nick, they are not bad boy mavericks at all... you can see that underneath his angry exterior is a sensitive soul scared of being vulnerable for Raphael and that Michael Angelo hides his shyness behind his partying ways. They are probably both respectable citizens still figthing the good fight and developing further.

Donatello and Leonardo will no doubt have had nervous break downs due to their inability to see the lighter side of life.
I dont care what any of you say, Michaelangelo was the man!

All the others take things too seriously. Mikey, just let it all go. There was no tension and the fights were all for fun!

Plus he had the best weapons.

Mikey all the way!
Donatello all the way. For the record, if we're going to get geeky about this, are we referring to the cartoon Turtles or the films Turtles, because they were different in each? Raphael was good in the cartoons but a bit of a d!ck in the films, whereas Leonardo was the other way around. God, I'm sad...
