Not really, just a quiet Monday and just happened to set a quiz a month or so ago and had some questions to hand.

OK, I went round the houses and tried rin tin tin, lassie, and maybe Harpo Marx, and I was just about to ask on IMDb (it was bugging me) and then I remembered.

It was Sir John Mills in "Ryans Daughter"

Me again, not only did he not speak in the film, but - having just checked - he said nothing when he accepted the oscar either.

Well done Postdog - didn't realise that bit about the Oscar Aceptance (non)speech, and it brings a smile to my face just imagining it. Wonderfully typical of Sir John to do that.

Wasn't there a deaf lady who won an oscar? She was an actress but for the life of me I can't remember either her name or the name of the film.

yeah what about all the cartoons that have won Oscars for their makers

and the OScar for best scenery and dress making and also the ones that go to the Estate Agents of the stars......they all dont say things on screen....

I can't remember, it's a while since I've seen it but did Daniel Day-Lewis get one for My Left Foot? I don't know if he spoke at all in the movie!
