If it's the one with Charlie Sheen yes it's a comedy, probably a lot of the jokes will be a bit dated now as a lot of them reference scenes from other films. Good for a giggle as long as your not expecting comedy brilliance.
I would like to think NOT but sadly my wife watched the film and laughed all the way through. She is far more intelligent than I am so where does this leave us? Perhaps sometimes intelligent people need simple things to make them feel normal. I am not a smart man but I find great humour in old people falling over things. This isn't relevant to what you asked but there you go.
