Most Haunted on Tuesday night!!

Did anyone see Most Haunted on Tuesday night? What did you think of the chair and the bed moving?? I couldn't believe it but what I found even harder to believe was that stupid fat sceptic that said it could have been vibrations, is he blind or totally in denial?!!

The nature of proof is very subjective. What's funny is that I've seen a ghost, no doubt about it, and yet when I watch things like most haunted I still find myself doubting some of these people who also say they have.
But yes I though it was pretty amazing. Did you see the one in Brannigans, the first one of the series, the noises were very convincing, very weird!
Mind you I'm sure some of those orbs are just dust particles! Some look very convincing, some not! My B/F is a straight Sceptic, but I just can't believe that Derek Acorah could know all that stuff, let alone remember it all. Also there are far too many testaments regarding sightings for everyone to be halucinating. Surely!
Whilst the sceptic's answer was somewhat unconvincing, the Most Haunted team themselves admitted that the footage was not sufficently good to pass muster. Vibrations may not have been a good explanation - personally, I favour someone on the floor moving them, as that's what it looked like to me - but footage like that has to be challenged, and any other more rational explanations discarded. Occam's razor, innit? 'The simplest explanation is usually the right one'. I'd further compound it by using Conan Doyle's utterance of Sherlock Holmes "It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." i.e. discard the easy and logical before you investigate anything else, but if that is the only set of logic to fit, then it is likely the truth.
MMmm yes I do have to agree, I think that the most interesting angle in investigating anything like this is that the truth is often stranger than the fiction. For instance, there have been experiments where people have been subjected to Electromagnetic radiation and have halucianted, seen irrational things. Having said that when I look at my own experience and some, (and I mean only some) accounts of other people's experiences I believe that there is more to it than simple hallucinations. But the best way to be is as an open minded sceptic.
There was an episode of Most Haunted on many months ago where they claim they locked off a room and a crucifix was filmed moving. This I couldn't believe, the furniture one on Tuesday came across more convincing. But what is sad, is that say they did Actually Photograph A Ghost!! no-one would believe it, this is my point what exactly is proof???
Nelli, your words are like music to my ears! I totally agree with you as I never used to believe in all that stuff but I do think Derek knows his stuff and as you've said we've seen enough strange goings on to believe it for what it is. As for the others, if it's such a load of rubbish, why do you persist in watching it?!! And don't say for a laugh coz Nelli and I know you're talking boll*cks!! Nelli, hope you'll be tuning in for another exciting episode tomorrow?! :o) xx
