I had begun to think it was just me, who could only bear paramount and uktv food, with the odd terrestrial show thrown in for good measure. i am beginning to think this might not be the case. is all tv going poop? am i missing out on stuff?
there are things like the west wing, cracker, etc that i never watched but could be missing out on something great - any thoughts?

As for TV generally, unfortunately reality rules!! :o(
However, as we head towards autumn, the new tv schedules will be rolled out with new dramas and new series of ongoing programmes. Fingers crossed there are some gems in there!!!

dazzled by your swift responses, but let me ask - what are your absolute favourites, and for my own interest especially: waht do you think of "Frasier", "Two and a half Men", "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Good Food Live" with Jenni?
#And also, something i thought i would never like (it seems this is often the way...) Seinfeld!!! it is phenomenal - when i worked in tv for saatchi's buying time for proctor and gamble, i'd never heard of it, and now i've seen it i think it's the sweetest most cracking stuff i've ever seen, esp. kramer. anyway, enough gushing - this is neither the time nor the place.

Not too keen on American sitcoms, to be honest - quite partial to the C.S.I. series, love South Park, and Mythbusters, but that's about it for U.S. shows. Fave U.K. shows probably have to be Tittybangbang, The Smoking Room, Peep Show, Extras and No Angels - other than that, like documentary-type programmes, undercover / exposure sorts etc.
