I dunno about Keanu reeves in particularly but my wife is an actress/director and I've met lots of actors as a result of that and it seems a lot of them suffer from low self esteem.
My wife reckons that's why they become actors, so they can hide behind pretending to be someone else, a form of ultimate shyness if you like.
Yeah i heard that,he's supposed to be shy and from watching him in his very few interviews(normally with another actress/actor with him)he dont say much!
Hello alfie, you can ask but I'm not telling you and she's not terribly famous anyway so you're not talking to Brad Pitt or anything! Seriously she'd kill me.
I remember Michael Crawford being interviewed (long time ago), and he said that in order to overcome his shyness, he enrolled as an actor, because he could "hide" behind his characters. As nox says, lots of other actors have this particular trait. Although I don't usually agree with electric (she's trying to nick my man DeNiro ROFL ;o) ) the shy ones usually seem very glum/boring/dead or quite arrogant and aloof, to cover up their low esteem.
