We had our ten-year-old grand-daughter to sleep over on Sunday, and decided to take her to the cinema. reluctantly, we had opted for the michael Douglas thriller, but the cashier advised that MYAD was a better bet for her.
I went in with a heavy heart - I tend to hate films aimed at the under-twenty-fives. I'm not being a movie snob, I simply enjoy different things in films, but I was surprised. I really enjoyed MYAD, it had a great sense of wit and compassion, and didn't overdo the direct sexual references - most of which went over Francesca's head (I hope!)
I can reccomend MYAD as a lighthearted movie with enough about friendship and marriage to make you think a little. Michael Douglas is exccellent, and it's nice to see that Kate Hudson has inherited her mothers fabulous legs!
