What happened to Tank?

[nb Plot revealed in this thread! - AB Editor]. In the Matrix Reloaded why wasnt Tank the operator? Dozer was killed, but Tank still survived right? He was still alive at the end of the film. But in Reloaded Link's wife (and Tank and Dozer's sister, I presume) said 'Ive lost two brothers to that ship' Does she mean Tank too? When did he die? Have I missed something?!?

As far as I remember, the actor who played Tank in the first film made some ideas-above-his-station wage demands and rather than being replaced, they decided to just get rid of the character. So I'm guessing they wrote him out like that.

I heard that that it was due to the paranoia surrounding the storyline of the two films. The actor that played one of the characters in the first film was sacked after he was found snooping about in the office the writer/director/priducer or someone of similar importance. His character was then simply ignored in the film.

Tank's sister actually said that she lost 2 brothers to the ship, Doozer and Tank, but his death isn't explained.

Apparently the actor who plays tank is trying to take the directors of the matrix to court as he wasn't included

when the guy gets shot in the stomach in reservoir dogs, harvey keitel explains that it takes a long time for a shot to the gut to kill you, i figured tank hung on for the remaining half hour of the film and then died...that way the two films join together ok and yes i am very easily pleased. i was more bothered by trinity's hair not being slicked back when she went out the window at the beginning / end, where had the girls residual self image gone? cant wait for revolutions
