Watching the DVD of The Fellowship of the Ring, Peter Jackson explains how they made a mistake and cast the character of Aragorn too young, eventually giving the role to Viggo Mortenson. Who was the orginal actor?

Stuart Townsend (b. 1972). Viggo was born in 1958.

Yeah it was stuart townsend but he left filming after a few days. Stuart is in the movie Queen of the Damed (with Aaliyah) and LXG (The League of Extadionary Gentlemen) which is out in cinemas now. Personally, i dont think anybody could do a better job then Viggo!
