Does anyone know who actor and writer George Layton is married to?...need to settle an argument

There's no mention of him being married on his website:

But on the BBC Comedy site for 'Don't Wait Up' it mentions that he was divorced (last paragraph), but not from whom.

Although on Wikipedia it does say "In the mid-1970s, he and Lynn began to write separately".

... that would be Jonathan Lynn, his writing partner during the early 70s.

He's been married for 30+ years to someone he met at the theatre, as per his conversation with Des on Countdown last time he was on...sausage jockey!! I ask ya lol...he didnt mention her name btw

In the 70's George was married to Vera. I don't know whether they are still married but this link suggests that they may still be.
