Other than that, it's a bit pants, but a suitably lazy way to wind down in the early evening. One observation, how come all these celebs, who must eat out a lot in good restaurants, have no idea about how food is cooked, prepared or served with any style or flair? I don't think any of them are real eaters!
lol.
I love Masterchef - obviously prefer the orginal to the celebrity one - although was completely p!ssed off when that sweaty old man won over the good looking chap.
I agree about celebrities being absolutely cluless - the way they present their food is awful too - can u imagine if they were sitting in a restaurant and were handed what they cook - i reckon they'd probably walk out.

Stupid, formulaic programme that took what used to be an entertaining informative show and bashed it into the exact same shape as every other tedious "who's-going-to-get-kicked-out-this-week" piece of rubbish. Every single one of these programmes has the presenter doing the same embarrassing "dramatic" pause before making the announcement. TV programme makers are among the lowest of the low - totally creatively bankrupt and not one original idea to go round.
I used to rate that Greg bloke - the bald speccy one. Shame to see him participating in this junk.

Masterchef? Not one of them I've rated better than a competent home cook. I'd hoped they might have thought carefully about who to put on it rather than just rummaging around for the c-listers that were available. I much preferred Masterchef in its Loyd Grossman incarnation where you could guarantee that the contestants had thought out and practised the damn recipes.
The "mystery ingredient" round perplexes me too, why is it an advantage, when working in any kitchen, to think fast about how to use ingredients? Never have I stood in my kitchen and thought "OK, I have ginger, mayonnaise, some tomatoes and half a pint of left-over curry sauce - what can I make?" I've just gone and bought what I wanted to eat.
