(1) Does anyone know why it's called Cracker?
(2) What are your thoughts o the new episode? I thought the new episode was OK with Fitz as good as ever. Kept waiting for Panhandle to appear at some stage even though I knew she wouldn't!!

Just a guess - because he "cracks" the crime.

1-no idea

My favourite one was the LIV ERP OOL Liverpool FC - To be somebody with Christopher Ecclestone. Cant beleive it was made 12 years ago - how time flies . . .
oh and I thought last nights one off wasnt as good as it used to be.
like postdog says, I think it's because he gets in the criminals head, and makes them crack....
The following is taken from the site of the above link........................................

Q: Why is it called Cracker?

A: Because Fitz "cracks" cases and people. In the past there has been plenty of Cracker related banter on the internet newsgroups giving different suggestions as to the show's title but the truth is the title really does speak for itself. It's also referred to twice during the series in 'The Big Crunch' when Fitz says to DCI Wise "I'll crack him....I know I can" and Penhaligon asks Fitz "What made you so sure? That he'd crack?" after they finally catch Kenneth Trant out.

I quite enjoyed it - was a bit confused at the end as to whether Fitz had been shot or not but apart from that it was Robbie Coltrane at his best and I hope they make some more!

Sorry not sure about answer to Q1
Will there be a Christmas Cracker?
Criminal psychologists are apparently known as 'crackers' in the trade, much like we call bricklayers 'brickies', carpenters 'wood butchers' and plumbers 'pipe stranglers'.

It's a shame nobody told Robson Green in Wire in the Blood as the scriptwriter seems to assume he is more of a 'squidge'.
It was OK, my main gripe was that fitz didnt do anything until about the last 20 minutes!
