How bad was that health visitor in Eastenders tonight? I think this is a major mis-step in the writing of this storyline.I can't believe any health visitor would keep her job with that kind of attitude towards disabled babies.

it seemed just so totally wrong to me, the scene seemed to be so dated and more suited to a show like Heartbeat.

a health visitor at my gps was like that with my disabled son, said kids with cerebral palsy were put away when she was younger, i complained and she got a formal warning, needless to say she wasnt my health visitor for long.

Exactly what I was thinking.My eldest daughter has Down's and our health visitor was positive and helpful.But you do meet people like her and Peggy.

The whole point of the storyline is to show examples of different reactions to Downs. Soaps tend to overplay these "messages" sometimes but over all do a pretty good job. You could see Honeys hackles rising as she listened to the health visitor. I gather it will be a turning point together with the baby taking the feed.
Ooops how sad am I taking Enders so seriously !!!
