probably Connery although I liked Moore.... Connery successfully combined the seriousness of Dalton with the tongue-in cheek of Moore without making the role seem either too serious or too slapstick.... i was not a fan of brosnan.... he came across as taking himself too seriously.... Daniel Craig.... u hv got to be kidding me!!!.... he won't survive more than two movies ...if that... the Bond that got away is Clive Owen....
I have a theory that the bond you grew up with should be the best,i'm nearly forty so Roger moore(the 70's) was my bond ,as a scot i should cheer connery but my dad took me to the pictures(not cinema...i hate that word) to see james bond and my bond was moore....simply a fantastic actor
Connery because he was the original and was in the best bond film of all imho...Goldfinger.....The DB5 with the ejector seat and machine guns, Goldfinger himself is a great villain, Pussy Galore the ultimate femme fatale, Oddjob the indestructible henchman, , Fort Knox......
"...do you expect me to talk...No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!!" whhahahhahah
Connery was probably the best ,but I would have liked to have seen Timothy Dalton stay on a bit longer in the role, for at least another film anyway;he had an undertone of aggression, like Connery, which is more in-keeping with the way the original character was written .
