I don't watch either fortunately, but I liked the idea of the Lockerbie style plane crash in Emmerdale a few years back. Sadly it didn't seem to eradicate much of the village. I guess it was due to the strength of those stone-built cottages. I'd suggest a similar plot line for the rancid cockerney soap, and surely this time those cardboard terraces would all be razed and any remaining cast members would perish in the ensuing inferno. As an added bonus this would mean fewer crap mini-series on ITV featuring former stars.

Eastenders, I despise most of the characters but my real target on the dartboard would be that cow, Peggy Mitchell - I really hate her.

I used to watch both of them.Then realised that Eastenders was just depressing me and rehashing storylines over and over.Emmerdale followed.You can only have disasters and 3 way relationship stories,happen a few times,before you get fed up!...

I cant understand how Eastenders is still winning awards!
The ratings have gone so low and the storylines are so bad it is looking like a fix! Every time they seem to come away with best soap! Rubbish!!!

I used to really enjoy Eastenders but have now stopped watching it. The storylines are getting so poor. I mean 'Billy and Honeys wedding'. How many times is that now? This ridiculous storyline about Ruby running the club when she is not old enough.. It has become a parody of itself i think. It used to be great with the Mitchell brothers, Mark Fowler, Pat&Frank etc. Something I think the writers know which is why they keep bringing back old characters but it just does not work. I mean Grant coming back was a disaster, so was Dirty Den and now Frank is returning!

it is very rare i watch eastenders but last night i sat down and watched about 10 minutes of it................... how stupid has it gone.

i turned over and watched tonight with trevor mcdonald!!!

emmerdale is my fave tho!!

Brionon, not really sure but just remember seeing something in paper a few months back saying how the producers were a bit worried as the viewing had dropped to an all time low.
Never liked the show myself, but appreciate other people's taste may differ.

Both of them. Story's so thin you can pick it up in 5 mins, there's a life outside the living room (my pc's in the bedroom). ;-)
