Somewhat surprisingly perhaps, according to imdb and various other sources I've read, the answer's actually Samuel L. Jackson, followed by Harrison Ford.

Robbo If you look at total gross, you're right I think this table then divides the number of films made to get a mean figure.

My answer would be Harrison Ford. Id heard the Sam L Jacko one...but he was not a starring role in Star Wars so dont count.
