The Girl Who Lived in the Dark

This documentary was on one of the digital channels last night and was a really heart rending. It was about a girl who had a skin condition which meant exposure to light would cause her to develop skin cancer. She already had large tumours on her face and the programme followed the operation to remove them. I don't know how old the programme was and I would like to know if anyone knows how she fared in the long term? It was a very humbling programme! Thanks
