Hidden - how should this film end?

HI, the French film - HIdden - with Juliette Binoche, has a really bad ending in that we do not find out who sent the tapes to the family! Does anyone have any good theories on this?? Look forward to the answers!

Vicars, I was really looking forward to seeing Hidden. Had such a good write up. But was disappointed.

Vicars you might just like to consider that you've prevented others from finding out for themselves that the identity of the sender isn't revealed. That'll affect how they view the rest of the film if they've read your post.

Yes, I was disappointed too but did you notice at the end of the film the 2 sons chatting outside school? I don't actually mind the nature of the film in letting things hang without a firm conclusion, and in fact there are many layers to the film which make it interesting so even if you have now been 'spoiled' it may make you watch even harder! lol

Having just watched the film on DVD and I already knew that the sender of the tapes was not obviously revealed. SPOILER ALERT!!! Did you notice the last scene of the movie that the two sons were talking to each other on the steps of the school. There were other clues more evident on 2nd viewing that reveal to me the sender is the son of the man who committed suicide.
