dale has now admitted on This Morning he has not marrried nell, it was a stunt for tv blah blah . I knew that anyway cos you can't legally marry outside in the UK. So no more asking now!

The only legalities involved in a wedding ceremony is the bit out the back of the church when you sign the book in the prescence of the Registrar and the witnesses in the UK. If you can't legally marry outside the UK then all those people going abroad for exotic weddings are in for a hell of a shock come the divorce proceedings.

And you certainly can marry outside in the UK, all you need is the appropriate license!

really! i went to a wedding fair recently and the bloke from the registry office was giving the legal advice said it won't be possible to marry outside until they change the law in a few years time. said something about the venue must have a roof i quote "Marriages are not allowed to take place outdoors or in temporary or moveable structures such as marquees or boats." from www.registerofficeweddings.com !

That's ridiculous. Is the Church taking back-handers from the markee hirers of the country to make sure all outdoor weddings have an expensive tent rigged up?

Well my best mate got married in a gazebo out side in a beautiful place in Kent just 2 weeks ago and it was a legally binding ceremony performed by the registrar from the area! Conflicting info I think!

Trust me, you CAN get married outside in the UK! It's just a matter of the venue having the correct license.
