Famous people and their scars
14 Answers
Every scar tells a story. Whenever I watch a film or TV and I see someone with a distinctive scar, I am always intrigued to find out how they got it. I know I can find it out on the web, but I can't think of any more people to do searches on - have done Harrison Ford, Tommy Flanagan and Guy Ritchie - any others?

When I was about ten years old, I went to visit my cousin in Basildon, and, as children are wont to do, we went to the local playground to play 'pick up' on the roundabout. (For anyone not familiar with the game, the idea is that you crouch down on opposing sides of the roundabout and drop a stick or somesuch and the other kid has to pick it up while the roundabout spins, and so on and so on.) I managed to fall off, land with my leg under the roundabout and watch in amazement as my leg rotated through 180. Came within millimeters of severing my tendon at the ankle, and now have a horsehoe scar running around the back of my left ankle.

in between the making of star wars and the empire strikes back, mark hamill acquired a scar on his chin - i think it may have been from a car accident.
apparently the sequence at the beginning of empire strikes back with the ice monster was written into the film to explain why luke skywalker now had a scar.
