I remember looking forward to watching Roseanne on a Friday night 10pm. What was your favourite tv show from yesteryear?

I used to love Cheers and Auf Wiedersehn Pet.
Always looked forward to Moonlighting with Sybil Shephard and Bruce Willis. Watched the whole series through. Met my husband at that time too and we lived quite a distance apart and we used to watch it over the phone together.

Saw it recently on repeats though and its a bit pants!!

I know what you mean about repeats, Athley! I recently bought Tales of the Unexpected and Hammer House Of Horror on dvd and they are cringeworthy to watch now!
Caladon, I've never heard of Fatty Owls, Lol. What was that all about then?!

haven't thought of these programmes in ages.

loved roseanne, moonlighting and soap!
Yeah, Soap. And Brass. Strangers, Bulman, Budgie, Danger Man.

Never liked Muffin The Mule, but apart from that everything really.
Fatty Owls was also known as Flay Otters, Farty Towels, Watery Fowls, etc. It was a little-known situation comedy about a hotel in Torquay.
See, Dr J has heard of Fatty Owls.

I especially like the episode when the deaf old lady stays and she wants a room with a view of the sea. "you can see the sea madam, it is between the land and the sky". lol
Roseanne too. And Golden Girls , Minder , Auf Wiedersehn Pet.
