Hi I have been going crazy trying to remember an excellent childrens series that the BBC showed in the 80's. It was set in Edwardian England and the hero was a young boy. I seem to remember an old mansion/castle and it was supernatural. I initially thought it was The Box of Delights, however I rented this and it wasn't what I was thinking of. It was always repeated on Sunday mornings on BBC2. Please help before the men in white coats come for me!!
The only one I can think of and still not sure its the one is called The Georgian House? still pretty unsure because can`t find that much info on it. If it is the one it had an elderly actor who had a distinct voice and white/grey hair. If its not the same one and somebody knows the show that i`m on about because the men in white coats will be here for me as well.
PS for some reason i`m thinking its got the word 'Hall' in its title (but I maybe wrong)
So I guess its non of the above Zombie. It drove me crazy trying to find that 2nd answer. Don`t it bug you when your favourite programmes as a kid are a bloody fading memory :(
saxy_jag........you are a gem!!! I think that's the one. I'll have to hunt for it on video so I won't know until I watch it, but it is ringing a lot of bells. Damn this old age, lol
i also think it was The Ghost of Motley Hall, a great series.
One of the stars in it was Freddie Jones (he who plays the vicar's Father in Emerdale) he played General Sir George Uproar.
