Why is it all so depressing?? After Christmas you'd think they'd have made it a bit jovial to cheer us up,....but....NO !!!

Sorry, question... why dont they try and make us a bit happy?
Just do what I did years ago. Give up watching it. At least in Corrie you have humour most of the time too, whereas in Stenders (when I watched it, and I assume now from your post) it was all back biting and back stabbing.

You are watching Eastenders, the soap equivalent of Dostoevsky,for it to have humour would be an affront to dramatic Gods of embarrassment,humiliation and that feeling you get when something isn't sitting right.
I think what really killed Pauline was that programme on the highlights of her many,many,many,many years on the show.Where is Harry Hill when you need him?

i thought it was hysterical in the vic when someone said that maybe funeral was stopped cos pauline wouldn't burn hee hee fancy being arrested at your own funeral and when is sonia the gerbil getting back on her wheeeel !!!!!!!
