Following on from favourite films moments, what about scariest? i am going to nominate that bit at the end of Invasion of the Bodysnatchers when she sees Donald Sutherland, smiles, and he does the scary scream thing. Ahhh! I still shiver just thinking about it...
I thought the bit where the woman crawled out of the TV in "The Ring" was pretty scary.Ive heard the Original is much scarier, but I have not seen it yet.
Teak36 i saw the original last week i got a loan of it on dvd and i have to tell you i was so let down by it.I enjoy a good horror and and a good scare but there was not 1 bit in that movie that made me jump plus i hated having to read the subtitles.I'll go as far as saying i thought it was rubbish, my mates told me how good it was but i just found it boring.I'm going to rent out the remake and see what that is like.If you get the chance watch it and see for yourself.
Stanley Kubrick's version of 'the shining' was probably the scariest film I ever watched... the twins, the torrent of blood from the lift when the doors open... the tricycle, the dead women in the bath! if you haven't seen it yet, rush out and get it... and get the rest of kubrick's films whilst your there... guy was a genius!!!
Gerry, I have seen both, while I hate most Hollywood remakes at least this one is alot better at explaining the who film. The whole thing makes a lot more sense.
