Ok so in Big Brother it seems that two groups are appearing the 'Jade' and the 'Shilpa' group. From being on the outside looking in I'm on Shilpas side as she has done nothing wrong but be nice, I agree with Jermain(want him to win) that the people that argue with Shilpa are insecure. Shilpa tells the truth and they say they dont trust her when it is Danielle that lied about everything said in the toilet to make herself look big. So who's side would you be on?

Factions and sub-groups are part of the BB dynamic. It works in any enclosed environment - an old people's home, a hospital weard with long-stay patients, and to a leeser degree, and office or workplace.

Shilpa and Jade are from such different and diverse cultures that there is simply no common ground. Shilpa is intelligent and perceptive enough to understand this, and work around it - Jade is not, and reacts by absenting herself from Shilpa's orbit.

Danielle likewise has neither the intelligence of life experience to apprciate that other people live very very different lives than her, and I think a degree of racism may be inherent in her background, such is her unconcious mockery of Shilpa's speech patterns and accent.

If I was in the house, I would incline towards Shilpa's group, but I would try to blur the lines between the groups if possible, they are unhealthy, and lead to rows and whispering campaigns.

I have to say I would also veer towards Shilpa's group because I could simply stare at her all day and be really happy - she is exquisite!

I did notice that when the 'celebs' entered the house, Danielle looked like the cat who'd got the cream until she clapped eyes on Shilpa. Touch of the green eyed monster, I think!

I agree with poppyflower Shilpa is a cry baby . I think she is playing a very clever game she is quite manipulative and sly. She has taken over the kitchen and she's trying to take charge of everything else even telling the others what they can and cannot say/think. If she's so intelligent and superior then she should be able to see beyond the differences between herself, Jade & Danielle and not sulk and cry at the drop of a hat. She may be treated like royalty in India where she is addressed as Madam or Ma'am but I'm afraid she's in the Big Brother house in England where she is just another celeb on a reality show.

andy-hughes, your views typify what's wrong with this nation now. Just because this woman is Indian, people like you cry 'racism' when she is rounded on. She is rounded on simply because she has a sneaky, slimy personality - that's all. People with different accents anywhere get the mickey taken out of them - Scousers, Brummies, Geordies, whatever - and just because this one is Indian, you say her mimics are racist. I don't give a monkey's where Shilpa is from - she's hideous and she needs to be evicted as soon as possible. If staring at her all day makes you happy, then you must be as superficial as she is.

Jades voice just drives me to distraction, i'd have to punch her, Shilpa............. well nowt against her, except her voice does seem to get higher and higher, but that Danielle, well, bl$$dy beam me up!! I have a burning desire for Teddy to drop her like a hot brick the moment she steps foot outta there, after having seen her for the total and utter FOUL MOUTHED bitch that she is!!

Hello craigiep, thanks for your observations.

I didn't 'cry racism' racism because Shilpa was rounded on, I observed that Danielle may ( that is MAY') have a degree of racism in her background (DEGREE - BACKGROUND) which does not state that Shipa's detractors are racist, although I think referring to someone as a "pig" and mocking them in that way could - bot may not be - construed as racially biased. I am not saying that the people mimicing Shilpa are racist - merely that their hbostility which seems to be based mostly on cultural differences, has a racial bias to it.

Yes staring at her would make me happy - if i was in the House with hothing else to do, but I am not, and I wold not concur that a woman who is at the top of her profession in any culture can be dismissed as 'superficial' - although the view we experience of her may suggest that she is so.

Finally, judging me on a flippant throwaway comment is hardly fair is it.

Craigiep I have many faults, but as anyone who has spent any time on the AB will tell you, superficiality is defintely not one of them!

They are bullying Shilpa for no apparent reason. It is playground snipe and it's pathetic. It's good to see Shipla is swooping to their level. I think Jo appears to be the ring leader and Jade and Danielle are her little sheep.

There are some really sad pathetic people out there, Shilpa is an absoloute lady through and through. Jade, Joe and Danielle remind me of the three witches out of Macbeth, they have not got a brain cell between them, they certainly do not know how to behave, the phrase scum of the earth springs to mind, makes you embarrased to be British! I have had to stop watching the program after Danielle's behaviour tonight, what does Teddy see in her, well I suppose she is low maintenance!!

Even on the evidence of tonight's edition alone, Shilpa is unquestionaly self-pitying, scheming and manipulating. She is dividing people herself. The way she teased Dirk with his (no doubt physical) weakness for her was bad enough.

News reports say that the TV watchdog Ofcom are to investigate claims of bullying against Shilpa, partly because Jade's mum labelled her 'Indian'. Jackiey has limited vocab anyhow, but with that one word we instantly know which housemate she's talking about. Besides, Indian is Shilpa's nationality. If Jackiey's description is racist, it brings to mind the Little Britain sketch of the college staff member who describes students without actually stating directly their most obvious characteristic so as to remain PC. What has this country come to?

Without meaning to sound horrible though, it appears 75% of the population are like Jade and her Mother, nobody seems to even know the basics in manners or how to behave, its like were all turning into un-educated animals!

I'm not totally convinced there's racism here but undoubtedly bullying is going on. Delgirl beat me to it with her description of the 3 witches. Shilpa can be a bit grand but that's the worst you can say about her. I honestly can't see her manipulating anyone or anything , but I do think Dannielle has been influenced by Jade who I think is just generally very intimidating . Not that Dannielle hasn't got a choice , I think she's been incredibly stupid to lay herself open like she has.

I think there may well be more walkouts. Nobody seems at all happy.

You can be sure Shilpa won't be walking out - she very clearly wants to win it more than anyone. I sincerely hope she doesn't, cos that'd be a triumph for self-pity and manipulation. Notice she has only male friends left, except for Cleo who wants to win only slightly less desperately.

I personnally think Shilpa is great and if I was in the house I would find it easier to talk to Shilpa, Jarmaine, Cleo & Dirk than any of the others

How on earth did Danielle manage to win a beauty contest she is just another dumb bimbo and not particulary stunning. I take it Tommy Sheridan doesn't go out with her for her intellect, I don't even think she is intelligent enough to be considered a WAG.

I think we should get Jade & Danielle booted out next
