In the Archers they have always had ghost characters who were mentioned (like Prue) but had no character playing them. Some like Helen and Tommy did get them eventually but suddenly one of the staff has grown a brand new son who I've never heard mentioned and has blended in as if there for 20 years.
So can anyone explain why Christopher arrived suddenly last week or so and as far as I know wasn't a ghost character first? Don't they think people will notice?

Prue Forrest 'appeared' once and was played by Dame Judi Dench.
Christopher has been mentioned over the years but it is only recently that he has 'spoken' Like Tracey Barlow he spent his formative years 'upstairs'. I wonder if he will turn out the same?
Prue Forrest was a regular character in the 1960's, but then became unheard for many years.
Christopher has been mentioned quite a few times. I remember when he was born I think he had a hare lip
Christopher has been around for about the past two years . He was in the cast a lot when he started working for the farrier and also when he was going out Caroline and Olivers foster daughter.

That's odd, I don't listen every day but have been keeping up since Lillian and Mr Woolley were played byt their original actors (guess when that was!). I'd never heard a Christopher mentioned at all though I rarely go a week without listening at least once, often many more times. Very odd...
Now I need to guess who will be created like a phoenix next!
