Why is the movie The Sin Eater called The Order in America? Has anyone seen it? How AWFUL was it? I have never been so close to walking out of a movie before that. Can someone clarify please how that girl left the country? Surley she'd need a passport? I wouldn't think a mental institute would leave them lying around....Would there not be people out looking for her, I mean she did try to kill a guy. Or am I just being picky? : )

Because the concept of sin-eating never existed in America. They wouldn't know what that means. I just found out, myself, ~2 weeks ago, on this very Website!!!

Likewise, the Americans couldn't understand the concept of the ark, and therefore Schindler's Ark was renamed Schindler's List.

I thought that they could understand the concept of what an ark was, but it was felt that "ark"+"Stephen Spielberg" would = new Indiana Jones movie in the public eye. On "Sin Eater", not seen it - would like to despite the poor reviews as I'm one of the few that enjoyed "A Knight's Tale" - but what KEJ2000 said. Though I have heard it suggested that it might have been taken for a biopic about 80's pop "star" Sinitta (So Macho).

Yes, we do know what the ark is, just not sin-eating. One is biblical and the other not.
