Many people booed Shilpa in the CBB crowd, so how come she won so many votes? Why was Jermaine not quizzed at all about his white trash remark? Shilpa was adamant Jade and co had not been racist, so will India now issue an apology for burning effigies and will Jade and co all be publicly vindicated?

The crowd who live near enough and are interested enough to turn up do not have to be representative of the nationwide vote you know. Davina rarely puts interviewees on the spot, let alone asking Jermaine about a single comment he made. How can Jade be 'publicly vindicated' when she has not only admitted she behaved badly but has apologised for it? Even if other people also had things to be ashamed of, it does not make her behaviour reasonable.

I didnt really see any of it but in Jermaines defense, where is the false truth in it. If someone called me white trash I wouldnt necessarily deem it as racist.

Unfortunately, EVERYONE gets booed on BB, even when they're going into the house. Weird when no-one knows anything about the contestants. It just shows how fickle the audience is. They are most certainly not a cross section of society.

In he bits that Shilpa was shwn they had watered it down and they did not show them mocking her accent and Jade acted like a psycho during the stock cube fight

I hadn't seen the footage of Jo mocking her accent until her eviction so I thought that Danielle had been worse - with the she should just F Off back home and she can't even speak english.

Something about tonights programme made me feel uneasy. They put Danielle and Jack on the spot and rightly so, showing highlights of their failings. But when Jermaine came out I was surprised not to see the white trash remark shown, he was treated with kid gloves.
Then later, on Russell Brands show, two west indian 'comedians' were trying to wind up Jack and Ian, they were shouting stuff off camera, trying to make them react and say racist comments. I saw Dirk step in to calm it down.
Conclusion, Shilpa is a worthy winner, the bullying made me sick and it raised questions about how we are bringing up kids whose values are basically rubbish. But there is a lot of playing of the Racist card which is unfair.

Did anyone else notice last night that when Shilpa was still in the house as others were being evicted she was being BOOed by the crowd but when she was brought out of the house everyone cheered her? I was looking forward to her being BOOed as I don't believe that she was a worthy winner. The crowd must have been told not to BOO her as she exited the house cos it wouldn't look good.Methinks that the whole thing is a total farce ~ it was definately a fix.

Like a guy said on BB's Big Mouth Shilpa would not have won if not for the Goodies. Were it not for Jade's argument with her we would have gotten rid of her long before now.

I am so glad I don't buy any tabloids as I couldn't stand to read any more cr*p about Little Miss Innocent Shetty!

I think you will find the cheers at the end outweighed the boos. Bosses were not going to interview Jermaloid about his racist remark as that would start the whole thing again so they used the white girls as scape goats for the whole thing when really they could have edited the whole lot out and no one would have been the wiser. Its all a gameshow and hipe. I would imagine the whole thing will now die down and Jade will come out of hiding at some point. Jaime Olivery will take our minds off it?

twaflowers is totally correct. When announcements were made within the House, there were almost entirely boos for Shilpa. The anti-Shilpa crowd must have been silenced. This is hugely symbolic of the situation this nation now finds itself in. Worse scenarios than occurred in the CBB House happen everywhere everyday, but entirely because the object of anger here was Asian the protagonists are condemned - and in an OTT fashion too. Jade, Jack, Jo and Danielle all explained extremely clearly that they simply did not like Shilpa's personality, period. Absurd political correctness as has been shown in response to this episode causes a racial divide perhaps more than anything else. Rules should be the same for all, and particularly not protecting those new to this country to the detriment of those originally from here.

craigep, if you truly believe Shilpa was only bullied because of her personality, then you are not only naive, but deliberately self delusional. Jade,Jo, Danielle and Jack were all cultural bigots, covert racists and pig ignorant bullies. They represent the worst of young Britain today and one can only hope the cult of talentless celebrity declines from this moment forward. As Dirk asked, 'Is this really the country that gave the world, Shakespeare?'

Well a new star is born, Shilpa Shetty but she is now 'up for eviction' by our media, who are more two faced than Danielle.
Expect a 'scoop' story soon, along the lines of 'I was Shilpa's maid and she racially bullied me'. Domestic staff in India only get paid peanuts, I am sure the newspapers are busy making all her staff rich!

What Jermain actually said was "In America they're called white trash". Not they are white trash. Small difference but it does alter the meaning somewhat.

The three witches were/are nothing more than lowlife trash. In the states they're called "white trash" by whites, as well as blacks, although the term "trailer trash" is also used. One comment by Jermain (and it wasn't a comment about their colour, as I remember, he said something like "that's what we'd call "white trash") was nothing compared to the dozens of out-and-out bigotted comments from the "white trash" trio.

I think it was a fix that Shilpa won, I don't know how they did it, but I wouldn't put it past Endemol to fix it somehow. As for the booing and cheering, a mate of mine (on the crew at Elstree) reckons that the crowd weren't "told" to do anything, it would have been impossible to implement although the crowd were "selected" a bit more carefully than usual.
