Davina McCall #2 Pop stars the rivals

As I didn't watch this programme, all I know is there was an earlier pop stars programme. But why was this 'the rivals?'.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If i remember the format of the programme was very similar to pop idol in which people had to audition to get through to the next round.At the end of if all there was 10 girls and 10 boys left. 1 week the boys would have to sing a song and it was up to the public who got booted out and then the following week it was the girls turn were they would each sing a song and the same again it was up to the public.And this went on till there were only 5 boys and 5 girls left and both would go head to head to get the number 1 spot in the charts. Hence why we have the group Girls Aloud (who are managed i think by an irish guy called louie walsh) and the Group 1 True Voice( who were managed by Pete Waterman).As far as i'm aware the boy band is no longer.Hope this helps you out.
