tv numbers question in realtion to sky plus.

if i record something on sky plus and only watch half of it, or delete it how does it affect the rating for the show? {ie does my number of viewers for show decrease, does the broadcaster know I did not watch it? }

It won't affect the rating for the show one jot. As for whether the broadcaster (i.e. service provider, i.e. Sky) know what you did, you should check your terms and conditions. They probably say that Sky collects anonymous data on usage of the Sky Plus service.

Viewing figures are collected by handing out boxes to a few thousand people in the uk. Whenever they watch something, they have to click a remote control that says they are doing so.
