Just watched Fame Academy for the first time. I know it's for Charity but,hey,come on,it must be a wind-up.!!!!

You are on my wavelength,Trinny, I could go on for hours about money wasted by BBC.i.e. Lottery draw tonight,Why Jason Donovan and Jenni Falconer to look at Lotto balls dropping? Thats all they did,wonder how much Licence-payers money they got paid for that.!!

dont get me started on Red Nose day! all the celebs being flown out to Africa to tell us how poor they are, then they go back to their luxury homes!

Another waste of money is the sending of a reporter and camera crew to stand outside N� 10, the Houses of Parliament, a Ministry , a Tesco petrol station etc (where absolutely zilch is happening), just to send a report in to the studio.

The transmission slots occupied by Fame Academy have to be filled by something. I would imagine that, relatively speaking, Fame Academy is cheaper to produce (particularly as - I assume - the competitors are donating their time) than many other types of programme.

What I dislike is the constant screaming and shouting from the audience (ditto Strictly Come Dancing). In fact, more than one Fame Academy contestant had said words to the effect, "I'm sorry I didn't sing well, but I couldn't hear myself because of the audience". I don't think that is sour grapes.

Even though Fame Academy is for charity, it's still rigged. How anyone can say Ray Stubbs has anything of a singing voice is beyond me? Zoe's not far behind him (I guess she's just the necessary eye candy for the fellas) and that stupid Tara Tomkinson thing is just a total waste of everyone's space.

Shaun, Colin and Angelica are the ones who really stand out, yet I don't give much for their chances of still being in there at the end.
