Would anyone know if the site of Emmerdale is a place that is really being lived in.?Because when you look at the webcam there are alwas cars on the streets although you never see people unless they are filming.

No it isn't - it's a purpose built set in Harewood House in West Yorkshire.

There will be cars and people trundling about all day as there will be set dressers, workmen constantly working on the sets. The interiors are filmed at Yorkshire TV in Leeds.

Is it true that they have a ten year lease on the site and then it is all to be pulled down

It did used to be a real place. It may have been called something like esholt.

Yes it was Esholt village but the villagers got tired of the sightseers
