Re the clip of the stuffed cat from That's Life, I have an old VHS video tape of it. I would send it to you, if it would be of any use, providing of course I could get your address.

I should love to see that again. Any hope of you getting in on YouTube?

I would if I knew how to, Ethel. It is on an old VHS video tape, I guess there is a way of getting it onto a DVD? I am not at all good with technology, you have helped me before with Photobucket and my Hard Drive Recorder, and I am very grateful for your help.
If you have a hard drive recorder that also burns to dvd disk - you can do it!

I live in hope. :)
Question Author
I don't have a dvd recorder, but I have spoken to a friend who will put the clip onto a disk for me. Don't know how to post it onto YouTube though.

If I could have your address I would post a disk with it on, to you. Don't think the AB would let us exchange addresses though. Have you any idea? Is there any other site that you know of, that would let you post your address so that I could the disk to you?
Question Author
Oops, missed a word out of that last sentence - should have read, so that I could POST the disk to you!
That's very kind of you, chappie. :)

Perhaps a lesson in YouTube would be the answer.

Is it straightforward to do, Ethel? I am using a laptop computer at the moment, I won't bore you with the saga, but basically the stand-alone is boxed up and in the garage at the moment, and I am using my hubby's laptop as a temporary measure. The facilities on it are not as comprehensive as our normal computer, I don't know if you require special software for posting on YouTube, or if you need to subscribe. In fact, I don't know what YouTube is. As you may have already guessed, I am quite computer-illiterate, but I would certainly be willing to have a go, if I cannot get a copy of it to you any other way.
It's a learning curve, Chappie. I have only put one video on YouTube so am no expert.

And I did have to download some free software to do it. :(

But you are missing a treat if you have looked at YouTube.

Search for your favourite music and see what comes up. This is my current favourite (I am old)

I've just watched the clip and enjoyed it. However, I don't think I would be able to work out how to post a clip on there Ethel, it looks far too complicated for the likes of me!
ha ha, think I remember that, was it a white moggy? And the end result looked nothing like the 'alive' cat?
Question Author
That's the one, it was quite sad really, but you couldn't help but laugh, although I expect the owner was devastated.

I watched it again the other night and it is very funny. It apparently attracted a record number of complaints for the BBC, people thought it was in bad taste, but even as an animal lover myself, I still laughed.
I remember it , it was absolutely hilarious ... we must get it on You Tube ...
