Have just read in the Sun Newspaper that Peter Andre is seriously ill in hospital with suspected meningitis.He has been ill for weeks but has become worse and Katie is by his bedside.
I just feel so sorry for Katie who is heavily pregnant.She has constant worry about Harvey who is still having treatment for his New Years accident when he was scalded.I think that despite being flashy and showbizzy she is a terrific Mother her kids always come first and Pete is a good Dad.
Lets hope Pete soon makes a good recovery.

Whether this is true or not. Don't believe everything you read in The Sun. Every other week they print apologies for printing stories which are untrue.

Earlier on the This Morning they were handed a press release saying that it was true in that it was suspected meningitis.

Actually, Katie seems like a nice woman. Petre may not be the brightest man on earth but since he's been with Katie, he hasn't done anything daft. In fact, as far as I know, neither of them have done anything "awful" apart from cashing in on the public's curiousity.

If a magazine's stupid enough to spend a fortune for their wedding photos, I don't blame them for milking it. They seem to upset a lot of people though. When you look at why, it's never more than jealousy.

I hope he gets better, Poor Katie seems to have had a lot of bad luck in love.

vhelpfulguy, although there are .........like you say thousands of people all over the UK suffering from various illnesses, Katie Price does seem to have had slightly more than her share of bad luck, i'm no fan of theirs but watching their prog on Thursdays has shown her (imho) to be quite insecure, and Peter.........well - very unassuming and really quite nice! All that patsyann was doing was showing a little empathy! nowt wrong with that in my book x

Well I think they are a lovely couple, OK so the past is the past but she seems to have settled down now and what a lovely guy he is. Let's hope he gets well soon, it's the last thing they need at the moment with her being pregnant. Good luck to them.

Within the last few months my brother nearly died from this disease, and has lost 4 toes as a result. It is a truly shocking illness, which frequently kills, so really is no laughing matter. Peter is famously very fit, which proves it can strike anyone at anytime. Any HUMAN being would wish Peter and Jordan well in this situation. Even if he survives, Peter may lose limbs, fingers, toes... Unfortunately, he is in the same bug-ridden hospital where my Dad died from an MRSA-related illness in February. I'd strongly advise Jordan to get him transferred to a clean private hospital asap.

It has now been confirmed as viral rather than bacterial meningitis and he will fully recover .
Thanks to all the The ABers who replied sympathetically.I do not particularly care what Peter and Katie get up to but because they are always in the media for something or other I felt that on this occasion it deserved a mention.We never know when our loved ones might contract this awful disease.
I think the very few people who made nasty or snide remarks need no comment whatsoever.Beyond contempt.
