Guide dogs for the blind used to collect them, I would check that out

The RSPB is always grateful for stamps too. If possible, try pesuading office staff/secretaries to keep stamps too - it all helps!

the money is raised by selling them on to stamp collecting companies, who in turn sell them on to collector's based around the world who can't always get UK postage stamps.

I fund raise for a small, unique charity in Cheshire - the Neuromuscular Centre. One of my aims is to raise cash by sorting and selling new and used postage stamps, postcards or tea/trade cards. Any donations would be very welcome. I would always let you know how much was raised this way. I have several lots entered into a philatelic auction next month and have succesfully sold postcards on ebay. From just a few donations, I have already raised �75+ this year.
