Now I'm no expert in what it's like to come out of an 18-year long coma, but.............................the lead character seemed to adapt to her "new" world/surroundings very quickly, i.e. she didn't seem to be curious as to how her neighbourhood had changed or the new types of cars, technology, etc that she was experiencing.
Also (when talking to Pete at the cafe), she seemed to think that she had just woken up from a nights sleep, but didn't seem curious as to why Pete looked completely different, i.e. older!
Not sure if I'll watch the rest of the series.

I agree, it was very disappointing.
It showed you her looking at people with headsets etc, and she won't have known what they were, but she didn't question anything.
Also, I dont think her clothes would still have fit her - would they?
The concept is good, but I don't think its going to live up to expectations, perhaps next week will be better!

as if the mother would have got her up out of bed and allowed her to lock herself in the bathroom!
what if shed collapsed again?
a great idea, but not enough reference to the sorts of things you would be amazed at.
even if you were transported backwards instead to 1988 yourself now, you would show more interest and amazement at seeing the things you have already seen in the past, let alone seeing things that are totally brand new.
i know they are limited with time but it woul dhave been good to have more small incidences of her reactions... at least initially, they could then get on with telling the story - after all the whole crux of her situation is that 18 years has passed....to only ackowledge the change in people is cutting out a big part.
