Fed up reading and hearing about "Celebrity Couples"

Is anyone fed up with reading and hearing about "celebrity couples" ?One minute they are declaring their un-dying love for each other after about a week. They then get engaged, some have .... a large show biz wedding, and then you have to read or hear that after 5 months surprise surprise its all over !! And then they get together with someone else ! Most of them seem a load of air heads who wear their hearts on their sleeves ! More money than sense perhaps!
Glad I got that of my chest, no more ok magazine for me.

Yawn! I couldn't be less interested in hearing about some brain-dead vain idiot with his brain-dead vain idiot wife/ex-wife/mistress etc.
I cannot believe so many people read mags like OK, Now, New etc and actually give a monkeys about whats in it! Why do they do it?
I recommend never buying them ever again - you'll be surprised how quickly you lose touch with all that nonsense and how quickly you forget what their names are. Its really liberating!

Oh I dunno- I quite like reading about how so and so is the love of their life, until the following week anyway. It makes me feel all smug and superior that despite their looks and money that they still aren't happy.

Am I shallow? Yes, I'm sad to say I am.

I know what you mean Boo, you see them with their ��� weddings and then its all over! Its such a shame - not !! I'm sure its for the publicity, the average person could'nt afford numerous over the top weddings ! And why is it they seem to have numerous children to different people? Know there's a name for that where I come from!

I dont get it either, i have never bought any of those magazines and have only seen them occassionally at the doctors when i am reminded why i dont buy them.
I dont get why people moan about celebrities saying its all for publicity and then go and buy the maganzines! i dont know how it can be interesting?
Not only about celebrities but the media in general. I used to read papers like The Sun but last year i stopped reading any paper i have to say it is the best feeling ever and like someone else said, liberating. Try it and see the difference!!! This also goes for watching the news all the time too it can get very depressing and boring to hear people moaning about everything! its possible to still be informed when you are selective or just try watching programmes that take the p**s out of the media and have a laugh about it all!

I know what you mean, got so fed up reading all the celebrity nonsense - its not the real world. Feel much better knowing im not contributing to their lavish, meaningless lives !

My particular "pet peeve" is when a story is made out of a celebrity doing something mundane, just for column inches. The Sun had half a page about David Beckham riding a bike. Included was the headline David Bike-ham.
