yes we've recently had it installed, however as we were previous sky customers we got a special offer and got it for 149. At that price its worth it, but its only mainly sports channels and things like discovery that broadcast in HD i find, so if ur not an avid fan of these then no its not worth it YET. But i must admitt, it is very very good picture quality.
299 is a lot of money for that and i dont think it warrants paying that price, however, if you currently dont have sky+ then it might be worth it as sky+ is the best thing since sliced bread, believe me!
explaining my last point about sky+, the HD box has sky+ built in, just incase u didint know!

thats wicked because we already have sky so i will ring up and see if they can do us a deal. many thanks!! x x
i know the offer we got offered (if that makes sense) ended at the end of June, but im sure u cud give it a try!!! good luck!
We have it and the pictures on a HD ready TV are fabulous. It's not only the price of the box of course, it's also 10 per month for the priviledge and there aren't that many HD channels yet.
bbC hD And the history and Discovery Hd Channels are amazing but sky sports HD and Sky 1HD dont broadcast in hd all the time which is a shame but footy in hd is ace! Sky one is the worst culprit for non hd content though.
Didn't know about that offer hayley2956 I will try also. Have fancied it for a while just not paying 300 quid. Hopefully they will do something with getting rid of he sky+ subscription costs
Strange how opinions vary.Ive had hd since launch and have been totally underwhelmed. Skys HD broadcasts are very poor and hard to differentiate from a decent standard definition picture.
The better hd pictures are to be found on nat geo, discovery and history hd but i would have to force myself to watch their programmes to justify the 10 per month price tag.
The best hd picture of all are on bbc hd and they are free as long as you have the hd box !

imho at this time hd is not worth it which is why i am dropping it now my 12 months contract is up.
