I'm really enjoying this on BBC2.
So, there is a natural pessimism to wondering if SKY will be able to purchase the next series from USA, a la Lost, Prison Break, etc. ?

has anyone heard any whispers as to the likelihood of this ?

The BBC have already paid for Season 2, beyond that anything is possible.

Thankyou.

At least I'll get to enjoy the terrestrial viewings for a little longer, at any rate.
Heroes series 1 has just finished on the sci fi channel on sky so hopefuly they will show series 2 too.
I'm pretty sure that they couldn't afford to match the BBC's offer, so it'll be on BBC2 first.
it was the first time that BBC2 had accquired more views than BBC1. thats how popular it is. i dont think BBC are willing to give it up really. plus, that would be the cherry ont he top of the cake.
lost, 24, prison break. why not take heroes and desperate housweives too! *sarcasm* *touches wood*
I think Heroes is good enough for BBC1
I was gutted when Sky outbid Ch4 for Lost then they mucked obut with it, six episodes then nothing for weeks then a few more. Final straw was reading an interview with Matthew Fox saying there are THREE more series yet to go.
The "gap" in Lost was because they had caught up with the US showings. (They don't tend to show series in one - mainly - uninterrupted run like we do). Lost had a particularly long break, and it wouldn't do to let the Limeys see it first...
For some unholy reason the Americans have mid-season breaks in many of their TV series. The last season of Lost had the longest yet at almost three months. Apparently they lost quite a few viewers so future breaks may be shorter.

Why they have them in the first place Cliff only knows.
really enjoyed it on scifi , damn bbc pinching it now i have to wait months to see series 2 really enjoyed it. may have to get it from the states now to see series 2
Anyone in the UK can watch the US airing episodes online. Probably the site with the most episodes is http://www.FavoriteTvShow.com There is a fee for the downloads but it's small and a one time thing only. After this you get unlimited access to downloads of the most popular shows. They also give you for free the software to convert episodes to DVD format so you can watch them your TV with friends and build your collection. The downloads are pretty fast too. The best part is that it doesn't matter if you are in the US or Australia or wherever in the world!
