Help! I fell asleep during the last 10 minutes of the last episode. What happened?

If it was the series finale it ended with evelyn being forced to tell eddie that he is not the father of mark and zoe. then he ran off and got in someone elses car, the 2 kids wwereshouting for him. he drove off alone and it ended when he came to a cliff edge. he got out the car confused why the road had stopped and then it showed ahead and that it was all mountains, then it zoomed out and showed meadowlands with all green grasss around it and it was all in the midfle of nowhere just on its own with stone/ rock type terrain surrounding it for mils and miles it didn,t show where it ended!

Thanks very much. How weird - fits in with the general tenor of the series. So we don't know who the father is - or have I missed that somewhere along the way?
