Sky digital TV - Cancelling

I want to cancel my Sky digital subscription....

I've been with them years and a good customer and don't owe them money for equipment as its my own.

Does anyone know if there is a charge for cancelling a sky digital subscription,

No, there is no charge

Just phone them and explain the situation, be it you can't afford it or just don't want it and they will cancel it but you still keep all the equipment, they will probably do their utmost to keep you as a customer and you can now choose individual packages suited to your needs. I have to say I have dealt with them various times and they have been fab.

...and it costs about 10p/min to listen to them tell you how important your call is to them, while hanging on for up to 40 minutes. I recommend emailing them to cancel it. I did this recently and it worked fine. I didn't even need to give notice (although they state that you need to give a month), they cancelled it with immediate effect, and didn't ask for the equipment back, so I have a freeview box and service, free!

I cancelled it in the and and there was a small charge of just over �5

I spent around 25 minutes hanging on the phone and had to reassure them that I didn't want any other entertainment package.

So hopefully now I'd be �37 or so better off every month :o)

Only �37, it costs me �53 per month for the full package, films, sport, multiroom and the brilliant Sky+ could'nt live without it now.

Yeah thats right ecoman, but then I had just the family package and movies and been with them for years so was a slightly reduced rate. I never bothered with the sport of multiroom as then I would have been paying so much more.
