After watching Manhunter for the first time recently, I must say that Brian Cox played a better Lec(k)tor than Tony Hopkins. Is there a reason why he wasn't used in Silence of the Lambs? Or maybe you don't agree and think Hopkins was better???

Totally agree. Cox was superb as Lector. Hopkins seems to ham it up. Maybe I am slightly biased as Cox comes from the same city as me - Dundee.
