Splitting up the family

Who watched this? I didnt know how to feel the bit when the kids gran said I dont want to see them ever again and the dad said me neither my heart went out to them. But as they got older I felt with the life they had had they might turn it around. So sad, and for them to stand there and say they wish their dad would sort it out and stop drinking when they themselves have ASBO's and cant drink on the street. It wouldnt suprise me if their dad wished they'd died in the crash too, you'd think it would make him cherish them more.

I have known friends that lost both parents and got caught up in hard drugs after and had their children taken away but I've also know others that appreciate things alot more now.
The person who annoyed me most was their Gran, what a poisonous old bag she was. How can any grandmother despise her grandkids so much? Yes, her son had it hard (in her eyes even more so) since the death of his wife, and his boys were no angels, but that wicked old witch caused more trouble than there really was for those boys with her constant sniping and telling tales. She seemed to revel in grassing them up the moment their Dad walked in through the door.
it was very hard to watch. the dad was obviously still grieving for his wife and didnt know how to parent his boys. The gran was awful wanted to punch her lights out the way she spoke to those boys. However at some point the boys have to take responsibility for there own actions. If everyone who had it hard as a kid turned out like them then god help us
Rev, why do I always get the impression that everything is a competition to you. You appear to have been there, done that, read the book, and got the t shirt. If I told you I had a 9" c@ck (sadly it is not), you would probably say yours was 10" long and smelled of roses.
I watched the programme last night and felt sorry both the father and the twins. Losing the wife/mother obviously had a devastating impact on all their lives, and is what led the father to becoming an alcoholic, and certainly contributed to the twins becoming the 'couple of toe rags' Everhelpful mentioned.
Maybe even if their mother had not died they still might have turned out the same, but I still felt sorry for them.
