Torn

Did anyone who watched Torn last night, somehow immediately associate it with the Madaline case? Or was this the reason for screening it?
Other times such sensitive matter would have never have been shown without certain involved persons consent being given.
Were the McCann's asked, did they grant permission , and if so why?

Since soaps first started there has been a steady stream of lost child story-lines - so what? . There is no reason at all to change them just because something similar happens in real life, surely the viewers should be adult enough to see it is only a coincidence.
As for asking the McCann`s permission to screen last nights programme - what an idiotic suggestion.
