Why do they call Lucinda Robinson Elle, How is this short for Lucinda?

I just had a look at the neighbours website,

However it doesn't explain it, it just says that she is now known as 'Elle'.
Not much help I'm afraid!!!

I think that's probably bacause just putting 'L' on the scrolling credits would look a little weird..........:o)
