How does this series end? I've watched this over a few years but missed the end on terrestial tv and now it's on sattellite, but I can't watch them all over again! Is there a resolution to the story, or was the series cancelled without a proper ending? I'd love to find out!!

To answer your question - there was a resolution of sorts, but Sam, through his own choice, never made it home. I disagree - it wasn't Sam's choice that he never got home. If I remember correctly, he seemed to find himself in a bar of some type, where the barman was obviously meant to be God - and he realised he had to spend the rest of his time helping people as he'd been doing for the previous whatever number of episodes. I was so upset that he wasn't going to get home I burst into tears and rang some friends of mine to bawl them out for not warning me (I was watching it on video)!

As Al (the bar tender guy from the first episode) says to Sam "You will only do this as long as you want to".... As we know "Dr Sam Beckett never returned home" (Yep, I get goosebumps even writing it). Ergo It was Sam's choice not to go home. Anyone who has ever come home late to an irate wife/hubby will have a good idea why Sam chose not to return home. He's been gone nearly a decade. Donna would kick hi as$$
