Why is it that on British television we never see adverts for motorcycles but we see loads for cars?

Motorbikers in general tend to be much better informed buyers than most car drivers and there is also a lot of brand loyalty in biking.....another thing is that there isn't the number of bike riders as there are car drivers.
I agree with sft; its the numbers. I remember someone on TV answering a question about why there wasn't a TV bike show and he said if every biker in the UK watched a bike TV show, it would only get half the current audience for 'Top Gear', so it's just not worth making one, although of course there are some on satellite channels where the audience is smaller anyway.
