Hi
My aunt is looking to buy a TV with an integrated freeview, but she cannot receive this. Can the television be tuned into BBC1,BBC2, ITV etc via the aerial and not use the Freeview at all

Having said that, I personally would not waste money on a freeview TV. Come the changeover, you will be restricted to that one channel (tuner). I have a twin tuner freeview box with built in hard drive recorder and an ordinary LCD TV, and I didn't pay mega bucks for either.

Hi,
Further to Postdog's answer you should check using your postcode first to see when your area is due to switch over to digital terrestrial. Even then you may have to use cable or satellite as you may not be able to receive Freeview in your area. Some good sites for information are here.
