Karl Davis an ideal choice?

I am currently enjoying the Kingdom series on ITV.

Stephen Fry is excellent, but his side kick Karl Davis has come a long way from playing that detestable little creep Robert Sugden he played in Emmerdale.

I would like to see Karl star in perhaps a detective series. With this in mind I began to think what an excellent TV series Sexton Blake would make. Who? I can hear some of the younger ABers shout.

Sexton Blake was a very famous fictional sleuth, and the first Sexton Blake story first appeared in 1893, but stories are still wrote about this fictional detective even today. They also made a TV series in the 60s/70s.

To get back to my original thoughts, Sexton Blake had a side kick called Tinker, this is the character that I think Karl would be an ideal choice to play.

I've said exactly the same thing several times...it was an inspired bit of casting. I'm not sure what else I'd like to see him do - hopefully there'll be lots more Kingdom to come but Karl won't be short of work offers either way.

I think there are a further 2 series in the pipeline! I love Kingdom, its filmed in my hometown and its great to watch the filmingif you get a chance.

I think its the perfect way to unwind on a sunday eve and all parts have been well cast.
