Treasure Island?

many years ago there was a kids program, im pretty sure it was Treasure Island or something very similar. but unlike the normal Treasure Island, i.e. ships, high seas, swashbuckling etc., this one was set in space. the captain or Long John Silver, had a space ship and would travel the universe doing wotever he did. Can anyone please provide any info on this? ive tried numerous websites but no mention of the Treasure Island im thinking of exists. Thanking you in advance.

Could be Space Family Robinson - no Long John Silver, but (very loosley) based on the classic Swiss Family Robinson.

thanks for your reply Windflower. ive had a look for Space Family Robinson, but it keeps coming up with the Lost in Space spin-off. im pretty sure there was a captain Long John Silver. it was a kids show aired early-mid nineties.
